Rethinking stress – Building sustainable work ability amidst change and pressure
When employees’ well-being is put to test
When employees’
well-being is put to test
Experts are now more overwhelmed than ever. Constant change, pressure, and uncertainty deplete their energy, resulting in exhaustion and a rise in sick leaves.
Heavy workloads and packed schedules are common, but cutting back on tasks isn’t always realistic.
Under pressure, thinking can become clouded, progress slows down, and decision-making becomes more challenging, which, in turn, creates even more stress.
Sustainable solutions to enhance work ability and reduce burnout risk
Laura’s keynotes help organizations understand how mindsets about stress profoundly impact well-being, performance, and health. She presents new and highly relevant research-based insights on stress, sustainable work ability, and recovery, offering science-backed tools to improve decision-making, social skills, emotional intelligence, and creativity.
Her approach encourages a rethinking of stress, providing employees with sustainable skills to harness it, thus maintaining work ability and reducing burnout risk. By shifting perspectives on stress, Laura promotes better health and well-being for both leaders and employees.
While we can’t always control the amount or causes of stress, we can reframe how we respond to it. Harnessing the stress we already have enhances clarity and focus, leading to increased productivity and higher-quality work. This boosts employee and customer satisfaction and strengthens the company’s reputation.
In a supportive work environment, employees feel valued, and leaders model effective behaviors during challenges, enhancing overall staff well-being. Equipped with the right tools, leaders work optimally for their team. This not only helps retain employees but also provides a competitive advantage, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Why me?
I hold a PhD in psychology, and in my dissertation I studied the effects of burnout on brain functions, cognitive performance, and attention.
Alongside my background in brain research, I have 20 years of experience working as a neuropsychologist, which I currently continue in private practice. This has provided me with a deep understanding of work-related issues, particularly those related to stress and burnout, mental well-being, work ability, and recovery.
I am a mix of an empathic professional with customers and patients, and a scientist with a curious mind. In my lectures, I draw from both my clinical experience and research background.
